Design Engineer – Mechanical and Plant Engineering (f/m/d)

Your Mission

In this role, you will play a key part in turning our innovative concept into practice. You develop and validate concepts for innovative processes to optimize energy flows, operations and layouts, as well as for sustainable and regenerative solutions. When designing advanced heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, you consistently take into account interfaces with heat recovery and renewable energy sources. We count on you and your enthusiasm to integrate new technologies with a spirit of innovation and creativity, and to grow into a specialist role by demonstrating a high degree of teamwork.

Your responsibilities

• Development, design and series optimization of future-proof plants, machinery and system components

• Independent execution of basic and detail engineering, 3D design, as well as carrying out technical calculations and simulations

• Continuous further development and modularization of key assemblies

• Implementation of cost‑reduction and optimization projects

• Participation in the preparation and review of technical documentation (requirements and functional specifications, specifications, bills of materials, layouts)

• Active contribution to shaping interfaces with adjacent departments (e.g. Purchasing, Automation, Service, Quality)

Your profile

• Completed education (HTL, university of applied sciences or university) in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, energy engineering or a related field

• Solid knowledge of 3D CAD (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor) and common engineering tools

• Experience in technical design, engineering and optimization in industrial plant engineering, production systems, or HVAC and energy systems

• Strong understanding of energy flows, processes and layout development in production or process engineering, combined with a high sense of responsibility

• Ability to create documentation in line with technical standards in both German and English

• Strong analytical skills, results orientation and a high level of initiative.
