Job description

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for the permitting management of our plant engineering projects and continuously develop this area further. You will be involved in the projects at an early stage, assess permitting requirements, coordinate the necessary documentation, and ensure that all parties involved stay on track.

Your main focus will be on permitting procedures under the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). At the same time, you will contribute your technical expertise in areas such as exhaust air, wastewater, emissions, and plant engineering, ensuring a strong link between technical concepts and regulatory requirements.

Your Tasks

  • Manage the permitting process for new plant engineering projects under the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) – from site assessment through submission and obtaining the required permits

  • Act as the central point of contact for authorities, experts, and other parties involved in the permitting process

  • Handle and coordinate technical queries, particularly regarding exhaust air, wastewater, and emissions

  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, as well as architects and planners

  • Coordinate permitting-related decisions, documentation, and deadlines

  • Systematically review and optimize permit application documents

  • Prepare and further develop standardized technical dossiers, e.g. covering wastewater, exhaust air, and emissions

  • Establish, maintain, and make effective use of a central document and template repository

  • Review documents and technical documentation and ensure proper version control

  • Identify optimization potential and further develop and standardize permitting processes

What You Bring

  • Completed technical vocational training or a technical degree from a university of applied sciences/university, e.g. in process engineering, environmental engineering, or plant engineering, or a comparable qualification

  • Several years of professional experience in permitting management, ideally in plant engineering and/or BImSchG procedures

  • Sound technical knowledge, particularly in the areas of exhaust air treatment, wastewater treatment, and emission control

  • Experience working with permit applications, technical dossiers, and permit-related documentation

  • Knowledge of relevant BImSchG regulations and regulatory requirements

  • Confident use of MS Office and PDF editing tools; experience with CAD drawings is an advantage

  • Experience working with authorities, experts, and internal specialist departments

  • Very good command of German, both written and spoken

  • Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 1520% of the working time

What We Offer You

  • Meaningful work in an innovative, sustainable company

  • The opportunity to actively shape processes and take on responsibility

  • A dynamic, growing work environment with plenty of room for creativity

  • Flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths, and an open corporate culture

  • Hybrid working and flexible hours

  • Excellent transport connections and free parking

  • Attractive corporate benefits including a coffee flat rate and wellness water

  • Modern, bright office with well-equipped workstations and state-of-the-art technology

  • Real team spirit with regular after-work and team sports events
