Job description
Your Mission
Your expertise in industrial and process automation brings together electrical engineering, mechanics and process engineering in our larval rearing plants to create a high-performance, efficient and forward-looking automation system. Thanks to your control and automation solutions, complex processes and operations interlock seamlessly. A high level of ownership, a structured, solution‑oriented way of working and strong communication skills in dealing with customers and suppliers characterize your approach. With a willingness to travel of around 20–30%, you ensure successful commissioning on site while still having plenty of time left for what excites you in your private life.
Your responsibilities
Designing and programming PLC controls, SCADA and control systems for our larval rearing plants based on Siemens (TIA Portal)
Development and integration of interfaces between plant components from various manufacturers (OPC UA, HTTP, REST API)
Planning and configuration of HMI visualizations
Coordination of internal and external project partners (technical and scheduling)
Supporting project managers in the preparation of proposals
Preparation of technical requirement specifications and documentation
Provide 2nd level support servides
Your profile
Completed technical education in electrical engineering, automation engineering or mechatronics (apprenticeship, technical college, HTL or university of applied sciences)
Experience in programming and commissioning PLC systems, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal (V18–20)
Knowledge of high‑level programming languages (C++, C#, .NET or similar) is an advantage
Solid technical knowledge in the areas of electrical / instrumentation and control and process control technology
Good knowledge of network technology and industrial bus systems (Ethernet, EtherCAT, CANopen, PROFINET, OPC UA, MQTT)
Initial experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and IoT protocols (MQTT) is a plus
