Job description

Your Mission

You work in a structured manner, think ahead and keep an overview even with several parallel projects? You communicate confidently with authorities and efficiently manage complex approval processes? Then this newly created position is exactly your playing field: You take on a central role in the approval management of our plant construction projects and actively shape the standardization and further development of our processes - especially in the context of the Federal Immission Control Act. You are involved early in the project phase and work closely with engineering, project management, and controlling. Your contribution ensures that projects are not only approved but also run smoothly.

Your Tasks

  • Overall responsibility for the approval management of plant construction projects - from site inspection to granting of approval

  • Steering and accompanying approval procedures, especially according to the Federal Immission Control Act

  • Central contact person for authorities and experts as well as clarification of technical issues (air exhaust, wastewater, emissions)

  • Support of the preliminary design and bidding phase, including participation in CAPEX evaluations and plant concepts

  • Closely coordinate with sales, engineering, project management as well as external planners and architects

  • Creation, review, and optimization of approval-relevant documents and technical dossiers

  • Establishment, maintenance, and further development of standardized processes as well as documentation structures including version management

Your Profile

  • Completed studies or technical training (e.g. process engineering, environmental technology, plant construction) or equivalent qualification

  • Sound technical understanding in air purification, wastewater treatment, and emission control

  • Practical experience in approval management or in technical planning processes with reference to authorities

  • Knowledge of German Immission Control Law (BImSchG)

  • Experience in creating approval-relevant documents and dealing with authorities and experts

  • Proficient in MS Office and PDF tools as well as the ability to read CAD plans

  • Structured, independent way of working combined with strong communication and coordination skills

  • Driver's license Class B and willingness to travel (approx. 20-50%) for project-related meetings
