Senior IT Operations Engineer (w/m/d) - Site & Field Services

Your Mission

We continuously invest in our IT infrastructure at multiple locations and are looking for an experienced person for the Field Service/IT Infrastructure area, who ensures on-site support (Field Support), manages hardware rollouts, and provides technical guidance to small teams. Problem-solving oriented and with high implementation power you ensure not only smooth IT operations, but you also further develop the network infrastructure and fully manage IT projects. With a high willingness to travel and a self-responsible work approach, you ensure that our locations are optimally supported IT-wise at all times.

Your Tasks

• Support of our locations in Germany and Austria regarding operational IT issues and their support in specific IT requirements

• Maintenance and development of our network infrastructure at the locations (switches, access points, firewalls, WLAN)

• Planning and execution of hardware rollouts including supplier coordination

• Independent management of IT projects (location moves, rollouts, infrastructure renewals) in close collaboration with internal departments and external service providers

• Technical guidance of junior colleagues and external service providers considering quality and delivery reliability

• Close cooperation with the Head of IT and our internal Cloud Engineer position

Your Profile

• Completed technical IT education or equivalent practical experience

• Comprehensive practical experience in the IT operations environment and several years of practice in the field service area (preferably with IT service providers, managed service providers, or system houses)

• Proven, several years of experience in the functional coordination of small teams as well as the independent management of multi-site rollout projects

• Sound knowledge of network hardware, Active Directory, and Windows Server administration

• High willingness to travel as well as very good German and English skills
