Job description

Your Mission

As Teamlead Payroll, you will establish our internal payroll accounting and shape the successful insourcing process from the tax advisor. With your expertise in Austrian payroll accounting, you will develop efficient processes, implement suitable systems, and ensure smooth, high-quality processing. Together with your team, you will establish a reliable internal service and actively drive the further development of the payroll function in a dynamic, internationally growing environment.

Your Tasks

  • Insourcing Project Responsibility: Participation in the insourcing project of external payroll accounting - from system implementation to successful implementation and leading a small team

  • Payroll Austria: Ensuring timely, correct, and efficient payroll processing for all Austrian employees

  • International Coordination: Coordination with external tax advisors for foreign companies as well as interface to authorities, auditors, and social security institutions

  • Professional Expertise: Contact person for tax, labor, and social insurance law issues as well as accompanying wage tax and social insurance audits

  • Process Optimization & Digitalization: Further development, standardization, and digitalization of payroll processes, optimization of systems, workflows, and interfaces

  • Reporting & Master Data Maintenance: Establishment and execution of regular reporting for specialist departments and management as well as responsibility for time management, digital personnel file, and current master data

Your Profile

  • Qualification & Experience: Completed payroll accountant exam and several years of experience in payroll, ideally in an international environment related to plant construction. Leadership experience is an additional plus.

  • Software Skills: Excellent knowledge of relevant payroll software such as Infoniqa or BMD

  • Legal Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Austrian labor, social insurance, and wage tax law

  • Digital Affinity: High affinity for process optimization, automation, and digitalization

  • Language Skills: Very good German and good English skills in speech and writing

  • Work Style: Structured, independent, and proactive work style as well as strong communication skills
