Job description

Your Mission

In your role as Team Lead Design Engineering, you will be responsible for building up our engineering team in the fields of plant engineering and process engineering. You actively develop your team members by applying coaching skills and, together with your team, act as the central point of contact for technical questions. Concepts such as value engineering are not just theory to you, but part of your practical experience. As a successful leader, you convince with an analytical and structured way of working, strategic thinking with foresight and a strong willingness to take decisions.

Your responsibilities

  • Building and leading the design engineering team, including continuous development through identifying improvement potential, targeted knowledge sharing and competence management

  • Coordinating and steering ongoing activities, including capacity and resource planning

  • Prioritising the development roadmap in alignment with Sales, Project Management, Supply and Quality Management

  • Taking responsibility for standardisation, further development and modularisation of key engineering building blocks (cost efficiency, quality improvement)

  • Ensuring quality, cost and schedule targets are met and that technical and regulatory requirements are complied with

Your profile

  • Completed technical education (HTL, university of applied sciences or university) in mechanical and plant engineering or mechatronics

  • Proven engineering experience with close interfaces to process engineering and automation

  • Leadership experience is an advantage, but not a strict requirement

  • Confident use of CAD tools

  • Strong communication skills in German and English

  • High level of initiative, openness to innovation and customer orientation
